THREE SIMPLE RULES
John Wesley, the (accidental) founder of the United Methodist Church, identified what he saw as three simple rules for Christlike living: do no harm, do good, and attend to the ordinances of God. Or, more simply put, stay in love with God. As members of the Body of Christ, we should strive to do no harm to others while advocating on behalf of those harmed; serve in kindness, charity, and love; and grow in our relationship with God through prayer, study, and worship. When we abide by these three simple rules, we will grow in our faith and share God’s love with others.
